Good stuff...

Today was a success! The meeting for work was informative and overall enlightening for the best job in the world (that I have). And, most importantly, the San Antonio Spurs are the NBA Champs once again...YEEHAW!! I am so happy to be a Texan right now and I sure plan to boast about that tomorrow at work! : )

That's all I have to say about that.

Under the weather

Around 10 this morning, during the midst of my daily work routines, I started feeling really weak, lightheaded and achy. The rest of the day was a struggle, but I made it through and came home to a long nap. I just woke up to find my honey cleaning the dishes and snacking for dinner. He brought me some water while I was napping, so I can stay hydrated, but a long nap definitely helped tremendously! Tomorrow, I'm going to Beverly Hills for a meeting, so I hope I'm feeling back to myself by then! I just can't wait for my insurance to kick in...I'm in desperate need of new contacts and glasses, not to mention how helpful it'll be to have a primary doctor for days like this!

An unexpectedly wonderful surprise

Today I came home to a couple of packages on my front porch. I had already received the printer my mom had mailed me, so I was really unsure what could be inside these big ol' boxes. As soon as I got inside, I ripped open the mystery packages and found this inside:

I was so shocked, but knew immediately who was behind this, so I phoned Melynda right away and she, of course admitted that she, Brian, Bay, Lindsay, Josh, Carolina, Bertrand and Gladys had conspired to send me this ultimate surprise birthday gift. It's doubly exciting since Guillaume's camera (which had been on the verge of death for months now) had completely died on us a couple of days ago. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect camera (it makes sounds when I push buttons and even plays music while showing slideshows!!!)!!! I'll be sure to share the products of my new treasure after I've taken pictures of everything in sight! That's one thing I can officially cross off my wish list! Thank you!!
